The narrow streets - some of them only 2-3 meters wide - wind through the labyrinthine collection of houses. Small houses were often the stairs to the surface, although the terms of the hard to imagine something like this town.
Just up the hill from a small town is the hill where workers built their graves with their hands. These are usually small, but it was beautifully decorated. Artists often did their best work in their own graves. To the north a little bit more of the village is a small temple, with a wall fence, a kind of miniature temple.
We went to some of the graves (Peshedu and Sennedjem), but we were told that the pictures are not allowed.
