Tombs in Thebes, Valley of the Queens
There are about a hundred in the tombs of the Valley of Queens. Not all of them queens - children and senior officials in many of the Pharaohs buried here.
Most sought-after tickets in the Valley to see the tomb of Queen Nefertari (not to be confused with Nefertiti). This is probably the most beautiful tomb in the Valley and years of work had been restored and bright colors and patterns in the tomb. However, tickets are hard to come by and the tomb is closed without prior warning - only 100 people a day are allowed in the home, and even those few minutes each. Moisture from the breath of all visitors and race damage delicate plaster and paint. Was closed when we went to the valley. Was unfortunately closed when we were there.
These graves are less than those fancy Pharaohs in the valley below. In fact, been buried many of the sons of the Pharaohs are in the graves decorated.
Holders of all the graves have not been identified, and only a few are open to tourists. I've listed below the known graves. For a list of all cemeteries in the valley, in a good attempt for the mapping project, or narmer.pl.
Click on the name of the pharaoh or queen for more information about them, click the number from the grave to find out details about the grave, images, and if we had the luck in the future.

Appointment of the various valleys and ravines is a modern invention - is certain that the ancient Egyptians did not call them names we do now. Misleading names to you, too. Valley of the Kings was the burial place for pharaohs, queens, and many of the children as well.
The Valley of the Queens about 80 graves, queens and the wives of others, and many of the princes and other royal children. Many of the nobles and officials were buried here long before the first queen was buried here.
The small valley, and here knows Bibano - harem "Gates of the harem", while the original name was the Egyptian "rather than beauty." Decor here are often of higher quality than those found in the tombs in the Valley of the Kings, but most of the graves, plain and simple. Tomb of Queen Nefertari (wife of Ramses II, the principal) is here - rightlfully considered one of the most decorated tombs in Egypt.
The cemetery was closed when we visited, which was quite disappointing. We had a list of "vision" of Egypt. Years of hard work cleaning and restoration of plaster and paint shows some of the best mural paintings and drawings carved in Luxor. Because franchises are very fragile reform, so as to allow only 150 people per day - and only for ten minutes at a time. I really wish that had been opened.
There are only four open graves in the Valley of Queens and, frankly, do not take many pictures because it was the first experience for us in the graves, and they were a little overwhelmed. Apart from the tomb of Queen Nefertari elusive, and the valley is the tomb of Prince Khaemweset, the tomb of Queen Titi, the tomb of Queen sit-renewable energy, and the tomb of Amun Hare - Khopshef.
Kaemwaset was a son of Ramses III. He died of smallpox. Amon Hare - Khopshef was his brother, and their representation in his grave, who died as a child. His tomb is probably the most visited in the valley.
