Tombs in Thebes, Valley of the Kings

There are hundreds of tombs in Thebes, and Luxor (modern), and a few of them are open to tourists and even less than visited by many. Most people are familiar with the Valley of the Kings, and hundreds come to see the tomb of Tutankhamun, aware that dozens of the most exciting, more vibrant of the tombs in the Valley.
Most tours offer visits to one or two of the tombs of the Kings and the tomb of Tutankhamun. I can not understand why, because the tomb of Tutankhamun is perhaps the least interesting of the tombs in the Valley. We must remember well that it is only the grave without hindrance in this century - and thousands of pieces of statues and the funeral, the coffins and amazing cover a huge golden coffin of King Tutankhamun was impressed visitors from the Egyptian Museum in Cairo for almost a century. But his tomb is only a small and poorly decorated.
But if you have time, there is so much more to see. There are 62 cemetery in the Valley of the Kings alone, and hundreds of people in the valley close to the nobility. Queen, princes, and was buried in the Valley of the Queens, the tombs of the workers in the Valley of the workers are worth a visit. Most of the graves are not open to the public, but those who make a point of view of the historic sequence of art and writing of the New Kingdom pharaohs and royal courts.
Valley of the Kings is well documented, and the archaeological excavations at the site since ancient times. A comprehensive study of the region, and detailed information about the graves were found, can be seen in the ambitious project to map good. The site is fantastic!
Note that the graves of the first fifteen listed below has been opened since ancient times, or at least since before the emergence of modern archaeological techniques.
