The Royal Estate in Central City at Amarna (Ancient Akhetaten)

Although redundancy in the royal palace complex in the center of the city of Tel el-Amarna, Egyptologists do not, for the most part, seem to believe that this is the main residence of the king a heretic, Akhenaten in his capital. On the contrary, we believe that these teams belong to the North Palace. However, probably spent a long time in this site. Today, little remains of the real property that stretched on both sides of Camino Real Madrid, but after extensive research, we have a very good idea of this provision for the various components.
East Camino Real in the center of the city of Tel el-Amarna is the true state officer outside the palace across the road. That what we call the king's house, an enclosure around a garden or small Royal Temple of Aten, the fourth of the priests and for storage of many magazines.
Real or Small Aten Temple
Located near the White "King" in the center of the city of Tel el-Amarna, which is surrounded by a wall measuring 100 Temenos 200 meters, which suggests to some Egyptologists, such as the Temple of Aten and other small structure called Real. The ancient Egyptians apparently called hwt - Aten, or "Castle of Aten." Contrary to the roar of the great temple, it may be connected directly to the royal palace complex that exists on both sides of the Camino Real, It has been suggested that this temple may serve as a mortuary temple of King Akhenaten. Proof of this is the alignment of the temples with the Royal Gorge, where we dug a grave of King.
Before the construction of this temple was an altar, thick, 14.4 meters of 9.35, which was in the area of the first court.
Temenos wall around the temple was fortified with the piers, except the front entrance along the Camino Real. Interface in the form of the entrance tower of bricks could be vertical entrances and lined with stone, as shown in the tomb of Tutu. Be assigned with two poles in the holes in each tower to tower, and Part II of the floor surrounded both towers.
In the courtyard of the first temple, in the main floor of about 8.8 meters, and is bordered by rows of the tables stood the altar of sacrifice, brick by brick. The main altar was surrounded by tables offering 108 (sometimes referred to as massacres small). This Court tower, which was followed by a front stage II, and again in this post was surrounded by secondary doors leading granite steles. Without opening the gates of similar trails in the north and south sides of the Court.
As in the courtyard of the Temple "" in the temple of Aten was not great in the house of a priest at the front of the south tower of the tower in the back of the second court. This house had its own court, with an altar and a hall with three rooms, one room for a bed.
The third tower, and lead directly to the entrance of the temple itself. Court was introduced around through two subsections, and included three residential buildings in the southern part. Refuge in this temple was a small rectangular shape, with the walls of the pavilion is also similar to those in the temple of Aten Grande. This campus consists of two courts, each with an altar and a series of images that offer. There seems to be a series of columns on the protective side of the entrance to the courtyard. So enter the walls with LED display in the second, and is bordered by a row of chapels lined.
In accordance with the representation in the tomb of Tutu, and the trees seem to have been cultivated in the East, behind the sanctuary.

The temple in the main lines is similar to the temple precincts, although to a lesser degree of detail.
La Casa del Rey
The so-called "House of the King" had a camera measuring 123 of the 140 meters, within which his U-shaped building around a garden, the royal residence of the king in the back.
There was a large area outside the house of the king, which is designed to be amid a garden with a tree-lined promenade to reach an agreement to strengthen and lead by the edifice in its approach to North. Additional tickets for the house, contacted the royal road and the bridge that crosses the road. Two lower terraces border the western side of the Casa del Rey. Outdoor terrace is the trunk with a roof on the brick columns. Sections on both sides of the southern wall of communication in the garden of a house.
A plan to house the King himself is rectangular in shape and oriented east to west. It is clear that is divided into two parts consisting of private apartments can be accessed from the garden and servants' quarters can be accessed from the front yard near the front door. Room service takes the form of L - in the form of the plant is located in the southwestern corner. And was composed of two sets of rooms on both sides of the north and south, and cut a large house with a private path from the entrance to the park. This house is in the typical Amarna style room with a spacious lounge and depth, which includes several from Fatah. And the eastern part of the house that had been identified to a nursery. Buildings, consisting of two sets of three bedrooms, each limited by the Court of the north-south road corridor.
Private rooms inside the house of the king and on the north side of the complex, and took the form mainly of an ordinary village of Tel el-Amarna. Here the attribute element large room with wooden poles in seven rows of six. Baptist is in the back across the room. The main hall is flanked in the west by a court with storage and a bathroom, and Eastern and a large room with an altar and of the pharaoh the bedroom, bathrooms and toilets. Screen walls at L - the word form with a curtain at the door privacy is guaranteed. A fee to represent the symbolic plant of Upper and Lower Egypt, alternating with the rest of the paintings adorn the walls of these rooms. Pharaoh's Pavilion, a mural is a wonderful little princesses, the Queen and other viewer.
Bridge
The king of real estate on both sides of the Camino Real are connected via the bridge. The bridge was a very solid structure of brick and rice enhanced with large packets. It was built in three sections of unequal and may have been covered by the flat-roof. There, beyond the bridge itself, and rooms decorated with different paintings. Design of the bridge may have been similar to the front door of the northern region.
Audit: a window on the appearance of Akhenaten's Awards for his followers and believers were represented in the local cemetery. Egyptologists believe that this framework was either located on the bridge itself, or the king's house, although its exact location is unknown.
The main palace complex (in the Great Hall)
Main one of the palaces of Akhenaten in Amarna is located between El Camino Real and cultivation along the river. "It was probably known as the Rejoicing of the House, one of the Aten." This structure is directed towards the north and south, which contains the state's departments of stone and surrounded by the eastern side of the servants' quarters (north), Harem (center) and magazines (south), all of which were built of bricks. There were three extended bridge crossed the road king of the royal house and an apartment in the Eastern province, which passes between the harem and magazines.
Coronation Hall
Hall was the culmination of the later addition to the palace complex, which did not originate in the center of the rest of the complex. Entry was to communicate with the bridge that connects between the king and the House of Representatives to the royal palace complex. Is a square with a relatively large number of springs (544), which runs along the inside, a deal that is very similar to the later of the Apadana Persian. The structure of the box is divided into three general elements.
One element of the court is surrounded on three sides porch columns. For his part, on the east and west sides of each two rooms deep with the pillars. The sunken road is bordered on the brakes of the yellow brick running through the passage of the two Timor.
The second element in the Coronation Hall is a huge room is accessed through a central gateway. There are 32 rows of 17 square columns supporting the roof, which was painted decorations that represent the vines on a yellow background. On the walls, apparently inlaid with faience tiles decorated with floral designs.
Final class of this structure is very shallow. This is the court with a sunken area surrounded by deep Besalten with pillars. Here we find the name of the Smenkhkare and some scientists believe that this building was in a hurry in the fifteenth year of the rule of Akhenaten participated in the celebrations surrounding Smenkhkare rise - guardian.
Biology of the enslaved
Within the palace, and three towers with doors leading to the center of the three groups in the rooms for servants. The first two groups of structures inside the towers actually Journals storage, while the northern group was in fact the structures housing. These homes, although a little more pleasant, similar to those of the Villa of the workers from the east. These units are adjacent rectangular and uniform, and divided into three elements. The first element is the entrance hall with two columns, a slab of stone and brick platform patch worked. There was also a central hall with one or two on a stone, and two rooms on the shelves the background. Each of these houses have been handed over to the shelter with a column on the terrace, and floors are made of brick, sometimes covered with white plaster.
Harem
Harem-term is, of course, an Arabic word, in fact, not have the same meaning as in ancient Egypt, who got in later in the story. However, there were quarters of the women in this palace, which lies between the east side of the state departments and Camino Real. An entry in the road led to two courts to divide the building into two groups, of which the northern group appears to be most important. An ambulance across the block north and east may be transient for guards. Any direct access to the inner rooms of these neighborhoods either in the road or even the main entrance.
These buildings are not identical. Along the north-south axis of the northern group and a number of elements. These include the sunken garden with deposition in the northern end, bordered on both sides of a narrow corridor along with a description of the central pillars of the small rooms in the neighboring (perhaps magazines storage).
At the end of the park in the south portico of columns, stretching along the front of the room large rows of columns. At the main entrance down the aisle from the writings of the pavement shows a line of Asian and African prisoners, surrounded by two ponds that contain fish and flowers.
The main hall has a plan for the box, and connects to the south-east with a large room which was twelve columns with the vaccination of ceramics. Here, was painted on the pavement with the drivers, which include prisoners and birds in wetlands, both in the main hall and a hall of columns. An adjacent room has a unified plan of three rooms in the west and two east accompanying the main hall. Each of these cameras also square with a central pillar, as was all of two small rooms adjacent to the south of the country. These rooms may be the women's wing of the Court. This is the general ranking of the quarters of the women in the palace of Amenhotep III in Malqata Palace and the city of Habu Ramesses III.

Southern group of buildings, which came from the north, consists of a long garden, standing on one side by a court with two symmetrical rear hall with four rooms each. On the other side of the park was a group that is similar to the northern suburbs. There is a wide input lead to connect to a central square room with the Chamber of columns. Here, too, was drawn, all the pavement.
Apartments for state
The State is a huge complex of apartments and the only part of the palace was built of stone. Planning accurately symmetrical between the north and south adjacent to the Camino Real.
A courtroom is a wide known as fronts "significant" buildings in the north. Bounded by the statues of Akhenaten provided in quartz and granite, the Queen set forth in the quartzite. These figures are, on the south side, stand, while the length of the wings, in their seats. Initially seem to have plans for the porch columns, giant 150 feet long, which was never implemented.
Located to the west of the remains of the mysterious stone building, while in the middle of the south portico of the imposition of three rows of four columns each palm, sandstone, and curtains at the entrance to a room with columns cross the four rows of ten columns each. It opens in the central square of the same capacity with the two tracks. Columns represent the distinct advantage of the cross-hall ducks hanging from the columns and capitals foliage free. Here, on the pavement was of alabaster.
This group of three cuts is pivotal with the bridge that leads to the house of the king through the Camino Real. Each entry has a court system for the top and bottom of stairs lined with granite balustrades in order to allow the movement of horse-drawn carriages. This is a strange feature that may indicate the existence of the influence of Mesopotamia. The portico was built in two wings accompanying each of the entries in the courts of one side in a large room, or the bridge (the court). Flanking the central axis in the central square, it seems to have been two sets of three rows of four marble stele, carved on both sides with the representation of the royal family adoring the Aten.
Next group accidental structural elements consisting of the central hall of the same width and depth as in the central courtyard, surrounded by the two groups, each consisting of a square courtyard surrounded by a portico with columns. Had him on the south by the two adjacent rooms with square columns and two additional columns from the north, one of them may have been sub-cameras. The center of each square of the courts sank and limited centralized platform can be topped by the statue. In four rows of twelve each, and columns of limestone from the central room had holes in the form of bundles of reeds and the capitals of an inverted bell, not unlike a tent pole for the columns in the Festival Hall of Tuthmosis III at Karnak. The galleries and protective of their small size, allowing for clerestory lighting in the Central Hall. The courts seem a couple of flags, but only one was actually built.

Ramps leading to the southern part of the central hall, and perhaps somewhere in the plan, which was not completed.
