The Pyramid of Amenemhet II at Dahshur

For some reason, Amenemhat II, the third King of the 12 strains from Egypt, which left Sesostris I, choose to build his pyramid at Dahshur, and just field the pyramid dating back to breed 4th, instead of Lisht where he built two of his predecessors. Dahshur is an area of interest to explore, and only recently opened to the public and so far is not as crowded with tourists. It's an interesting and some of the other fine (and large), and examples of the pyramids. Perhaps this was the pyramid named "Amenemhet is well cared for" and is located to the east of the pyramid known as Red, but not as well preserved as some others in the region. We are the pyramid of Amenemhat the Second Temple House, although it is certainly no longer white. It derives its name from several years ago when thieves stole the stone box, and left many of the chips limestone pyramid, which appear white at that time.

Ground Plan of the Pyramid of Amenemhet II at Dahshure in Egypt

Unfortunately, on the road, which is extended with a slope and crashed into a curtain wall on the upper east side, was not investigated at all, we are told that the valley temple has not yet found.
The base of the pyramid is built very similar to the pyramid of Sesostris I, although it might be the cornerstones of shine. The framework has been with the horizontal lines of blocks to form a network, or frame-angles. Here, however, was filled with sand.
This is the last time that the entry standard pyramid in the center of the northern part of the pyramid. As usual, it was covered with the north chapel. The entrance leads to a descending corridor built with limestone blocks, and this is no different from the construction of the pyramid users Neferirkara.

This corridor contains the roof of the apartment, which is above the pitched roof made of slabs of limestone leaned against each other. Sloping ceilings of one sort or another and used in many of the pyramids, to bear the burden of the weight of each of the previous structure. As usual, and levels of running out before reaching the first volley of the two granite slabs and one of which fell vertically in place, and on the other side. Only the shorter form of the burial chamber is on the vertical axis in the pyramid.
However, Arnold does not see as complex as this in accordance with the classical designs, and although it was closer to the design of the pyramids the age of many and will be built in the future. He saw the pyramid of Amenemhat II, as the basis of the pyramid again, and architects, rather than looking back to the Old Kingdom, has found its own way, through experimentation.

The best elements of design in the age pyramid, with new technologies.

Such as the lobby, and the burial chamber also has a false ceiling of a flat structure Saker stronger with gabled roof. The burial chamber itself is quite unique. The main door is oriented east to west, but the low part through a square hole sunk in the basement of the hall passed out over the blocks of granite. At the end of this room we had was the recipient canopic chest. Within the four walls of niches, including in each one wall and two on the wall opposite the entrance to short. Any idea if these niches are used for statues or offerings. There was a quartzite sarcophagus found in the western wall of the chamber of the mausoleum.
Resort is surrounded by a wall fence, which was much more rectangular, and then found in the pyramid older. It is directed towards the east to the west.
Behind the pyramid with the western side of the wall are the graves of the royal family. Amenemhetankh belonging to the Prince of Italian princesses, Khnemet, Itiueret and Sithathormeret. Within these cemeteries, Morgan found the remains of funeral objects, such as wooden coffins, and caskets of alabaster canopic jars of perfume. But of course, is also excellent work in the tombs of the Italian and Khnemet, which was stolen from the attention. Can now be found on these pieces in a room treasure of the Egyptian Antiquities Museum in Cairo.
