The Mastaba:


During the period from the Old Kingdom, and the nobles were often buried in the bench. These terraces were decorated with religious scenes depicting daily life and official duties of the deceased. There is particular importance to the 6th Dynasty Old Kingdom mastaba at Saqqara, which contain beautiful and revealing scenes: men force feeding geese, cattle crossing the Suez Canal, and the men pull the statue on the sled to the tomb. The most famous of these graves are those Meruruka, T, Kagemni, Khnumhotep Niankhkhum and "brothers" and Ptahhotep.
