THE EVOLUTION OF THE ROYAL TOMBS:Pre-Dynastic and Early Dynastic tombs:


Abydos is the burial place of kings, to pre-dynastic kings and the first of a unified Egypt. The pre-dynastic cemetery of El-Amra in Abydos contains hundreds of graves dating from all stages of pre-dynastic period, and contains several hundred graves and drilling progress. Particular importance is the tomb of "University of Jordan", a large rectangular brick-lined hole drilled deep into the rock, and divided by the cross on the walls of a series of 12 cameras. Still contains a lot of funerary equipment and contain large amounts of pottery of Egypt, about 150 labels of ivory or bone.
The royal tombs at Abydos gradually became more sophisticated. The last and largest royal tomb had been built for Khasekhemuwy, the last king of the breed 2nd.
