Most of the tombs in Egypt on the western shore of the West Nile. West Timor, sunrise, and represents life. The West Bank is death and funerary monuments. However, between Minya and Malawi, is a series of graves on the east. Not appropriate slopes on the other side, so that the builders of the tomb had to settle.
The graves here are colorful and are a good representation of the pattern of Middle Kingdom art. It also represents a departure from the tombs at Saqqara, and local officials were more independent.
There are 39 cemetery here althougyh mostly not over yet. There are only four open for tourists - Baqet III, and Amenemhat Khnumhotep and Jeti. Four shows the shift in the style of the graves between the races 11th and 12th, from the tombs of the ancient tombs of the terrace to re-shaft of the New Kingdom in Luxor. Graves here have large balconies and lounges, and a mummy from the sink hole in the occupied burial in the tomb.
Decoration is also a mix between the two approaches - Photos mixed with standard image and boot of the war, a precursor to the decoration of the New Kingdom tombs. They showed a fir tto of sports and games and everyday life. Dance, music, entertainment and suddenly the images appear is important.
It's a heck of a rise in the graves, and can be very hot. There is no doubt for the transfer of water.
